Macrolink's Rugged VME Workstations are the ideal solution for field deployment. Our open platform hardware allows virtually any VMEbus CPU -- Alpha, HP, PowerPC, SPARC, Pentium -- to be installed for immediate compatibility with your existing applications. An industry standard 6U VME card rack allows future growth through rapid upgrades to the next generation of processors as soon as they are available.

Removable shock-isolated disks, up to 181GB each, can be installed in the Workstation. Macrolink's patented SCSI DisConnect™ technology brings you true hot swap drive removal for your secure and rugged needs. These modules are conservatively rated at 100,000+ insertion/removal cycles. One to four fixed devices can also be installed, depending on the chassis/peripheral configuration.

Our TFT LCD displays offer up to 1280 x 1024 resolution with exceptional wide-angle viewing and have outstanding resolution and image fidelity for the most demanding graphic applications. Standard RGB analog connections assures compatibility with a wide range of embedded CPU and stand-alone display controllers.

The lightweight alloy case is welded for maximum strength, and all operator access is fully protected against the environment with integral gaskets and compression seals. An environmentally sealed keyboard and cursor control unit offers protection from adverse user conditions. A forced air cooling system that protects the CPU, disks and power supply also includes over-temperature shutdown as a standard feature.
